VOLITION OF THE STARS
Avatar: The Last Airbender meets Little Women in this YA fantasy set in the 1890s.
Carrie Quendel might be a princess of two planets (Terra and aSrath), but since she is the youngest daughter and incompetent in all four Terra Crafts, her family has given up on her.
Until the wise stars start to whisper her name . . .

Caerulea Tellua (Caeruleans)
Originally from the Silver Sector, along with eleven other planets, Caerulea Tellua invaded the Solar Sector—containing the Solar System—over a millennia ago, reeking havoc. aSrath, trailing close behind, was able to bring order and balance to the chaos so long as all the planets remained in their orbit, leaving Caerulea Tellua the closest planet to the bright central star called Sol.
The blue Caeruleans have been at war with aSrath ever since, while they strive to solve their energy crisis. Their planet is dying, and they are mining power from the stars—too much power—and the stars are dying.

aSrath (aSrathians)
Hidden behind woven starsilk so that humans cannot see it, the dusty rose planet aSrath hailed originally from the Silver Sector. Chasing Caerulea Tellua to the Solar Sector, they quickly discovered intelligent life on Terra and bound their planets through blood. Ever since, the royal family has raised their children on Terra—enforcing a protective instinct for Terra.
Four Terra Crafts
After years of trying, Carrie hasn’t shown any aptitude for wielding flame, flourishing herbs, healing wounds, or anything her three talented older sisters have accomplished.
Just when Carrie gives up on Crafting and ever becoming the queen’s ambassador, the stars bless her with a warning: their enemies set their sights on Terra intending to annihilate her father and abduct her mother—the queen.
Renewed with determination to stop the vision from becoming reality, she vows to master Craft and help end the millennium long war between their planets. As she’s coming into her power, the moment she fears arrives. Only it’s not what she expected, and her family is shattered in ways she hadn’t imagined even in her most vivid nightmares.
Meanwhile on the blue planet of Caerulea Tellua, the prince has lost hope of his own. Hope that he can save his planet from crumbling apart from the core. Desperate, he is willing to defy the king—his father—and seek help. Before there is no reversing the damage.
